Wireless Bridge · One Visit · $1,000 to $1,400 Installed

Internet to a Shed, Shop, Barn, or Detached Garage

Fast Wi-Fi in your shed, shop, barn, pole barn, or detached garage, on the internet you already pay for. A wireless bridge from the house, installed in one visit, typically $1,000 to $1,400. Carrollton, Newnan, and West Georgia.

Overview

If you can see the building from the house, we can put full-speed internet in it. No trench, no second bill.

A house router covers a house. It does not cover a yard and a metal building at the far end of it, and a plug-in extender rarely helps. The right fix is a point-to-point wireless bridge: two small outdoor radios, one on the house and one on the building, that lock onto each other and carry your full home internet across the yard. Inside the building, a proper Wi-Fi access point gives every phone, laptop, TV, camera, and machine a strong signal, even through metal walls.

Everything is configured and tested at our shop before we come out, so the visit is mounting, aiming, and plugging in. One cable from your router through the wall to the house radio, one cable from the building radio to the Wi-Fi inside, surge protection on both ends. Your modem and router stay exactly as they are, and you keep the same Wi-Fi name and password. Most installs take an afternoon and run $1,000 to $1,400 all in, hardware and labor, depending on distance, mounting, and how many devices live out there. The gear is yours. No rental, no subscription, no monthly fee from us.

FAQ

common questions.

01How far can the wireless bridge reach?
The radios we use are rated for miles with a clear view. A typical backyard shed, shop, or garage is 30 to 300 feet, which is easy. What matters is line of sight: if you can stand at the house and see the building, it will work. Trees in the path can be worked around or trimmed.
02Will Wi-Fi work inside a metal building?
Yes, because the Wi-Fi comes from an access point mounted inside the building, not from the house. The bridge radio on the outside wall carries the connection in through one cable, and the access point inside covers the space the way a router covers a room. Our first install of this kind tested at 667 Mbps inside a metal she-shed.
03Do I need a second internet account for the shed?
No. The building shares the connection you already pay for at the house. There is no new provider, no new bill, and no monthly fee from us. Everything we install belongs to you.
04Is this better than a Wi-Fi extender or a mesh system?
For a separate building, yes. Extenders and mesh points need to hear the house Wi-Fi well to repeat it, and a yard plus a wall usually means they cannot. A point-to-point bridge is two directional radios aimed at each other, built for exactly this. It carries full speed instead of half of a weak signal.
05Can I bury a cable instead?
You can, and for very short runs it is a fine choice. For most yards the trench, the conduit, and the two wall penetrations cost more in time and mess than the bridge, and a 300 foot cable run is at the limit of what Ethernet allows. The bridge needs one small hole on each end and no digging.
06What does it cost and how long does it take?
Most installs run $1,000 to $1,400 all in, hardware and labor. The gear is configured and tested at our shop first, so the visit is usually one afternoon: mount, aim, plug in, test from your own phone and laptop in the building. A 30 day follow up is included.
07Do you do this in my area?
Carrollton, Newnan, Villa Rica, Bremen, Bowdon, Temple, Douglasville, Peachtree City, and the rest of West Georgia. Call 470-641-2273, describe the yard, and we can usually tell you on the phone whether it will work.
